SUBSTANCE : invention relates to a laser glass doped with Nd, with a peak emission wavelength longer than 1, 059.7 nm, by the cross section of the emission (σem)≥1.5×10-20 cm2 and / or the emission bandwidth (Δλeff)≥28 nm, while preserving the properties that make the glass suitable for commercial use, such as low glass transition temperature Tg and a low nonlinear refractive index n2. Invention also relates to a solid-state laser system based on said glass and to a method for generating a laser pulse beam, including pumping by a flash lamp or diode pumping of a solid amplifying environment of said laser system.
