TREATING AGENT AND TREATING METHOD FOR SOIL CONTAMINATED WITH FLUORINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To suppress the elution of fluorine in fluorine contaminated soil to the environmental standard or less by stably insolubilizing the fluorine by means of a treating agent which does not affect human body and environment. SOLUTION : The treating agent for fluorine contaminated soil contains at least one kind of rare earth element selected from the group consisting of compounds of rare earth elements and rare earth ores. The treating agent is added to the soil contaminated with fluorine and, thereby, the fluorine in the soil is insolubilized.
