Ferrite material with a hexaferrite structure has the chemical formula : A1-xByCzDtCuvFe12-wO19 with (a) 2(x-z-v) + 3(w-y) - 4t = 0; (b) A = Ba, Sr, Ca or Pb; (c) B = Al, Cr, Ga, Bi, B, La, Y or a rare earth; (d) C = Co, Zn, Cd, Ni, Mg or Mn; (e) D = Ti, Sn, Zr, Si, Ge; (f) where 0 is less than x is less than 0.30; (g) 0 is less than y is less than 0.30; (h) 0 is less than z is less than o.30; (i) 0 is less than t is less than 0.30; (j) 0.05 is less than v is less than 0.30; (k) 0 is less than w is less than 0.90. Independent claims are also included for : (i) composite material containing this ferrite material and oxides of boron or bismuth; (ii) composite material containing this ferrite material with silver or gold; (iii) magnet made from this ferrite material or one of the composite materials; (iv) fabrication of this ferrite material; (v) fabrication of the composite material; (vi) fabrication of a magnet using the ferrite material or one of the composite materials.
