PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a protective structure of a gas compressor which is capable of effectively preventing rare leak or pressure leak of refrigerant gas from a relief valve during the normal operation, and suitable for avoiding performance degradation or troubles of an air-conditioner caused by shortage of refrigerant gas.
SOLUTION : A relief valve 8 is fitted to an exterior case 2 of a gas compressor 1. The relief valve 8 emits the refrigerant gas and releases the pressure thereof to the outside air side of the gas compressor 1 when the pressure of the refrigerant gas compressed by a compressor body 4 reaches a predetermined value. One end 8b side on the downstream side of the relief valve 8 is covered and protected by a rupture disk 14 formed of a thin plate. The rupture disk 14 forms a closed space 15 (a gas storage chamber) on an inner side thereof so as to seal the end 8b side on the downstream side of the relief valve 8. The rupture disk 14 is operated and ruptured at the pressure lower than the working pressure of the relief valve 8.
