PLASMA DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE : A plasma display panel is provided to increase luminance and life span of the plasma display panel by using a discharge gas including Xe of a high percentage and to improve discharge stability and color purity by mixing three green phosphors. CONSTITUTION : A plasma display panel includes a pair of substrates(1, 3) having a discharge space formed between them, barriers(17) for dividing the discharge space into a plurality of regions, electrodes for generating discharge in the divided discharge regions, a fluorescent layer formed in the divided discharge regions, and a discharge gas filled in the discharge space. The fluorescent layer includes the first green phosphor selected from Zn2SiO4 : Mn in 10 to 70 weight%, (Zn, A)2SiO4 : Mn and mixture of these materials, the second green phosphor selected from (Ba, Sr, Mg)O, aAl2O3 : Mn in 0 to 30 weight%, LaMgAl11O19 : Tb, Mn and mixture of them, and the third green phosphor represented by ReBO3 : Tb (Re is rare earth element selected from Sc, Y, La, Ce and Gd) in 20 to 70 weight%. The discharge gas includes Xe of more than 60%. © KIPO 2005
