CATALYST CARRIER AND A METHOD FOR PREPARATION THEREOF

Carrier has a system of parallel and/or crossing channels. Carrier preparation method comprises providing homogenous mass containing caking ceramic matrix material and dispersed material, molding mass into desired shape, and thermally treating molded mass at temperature sufficient for caking of matrix material. Ceramic matrix material utilized is a powder containing metallic aluminum or powder based on aluminum oxide or hydroxide including metallic aluminum. Above homogenous mass is used to impregnate fibrous and/or woven materials forming on caking a system of parallel and/or perpendicularly crossing channels.
