METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETIC POWDER

A method for manufacturing magnetic powder is provided. The method for manufacturing magnetic powder may comprise the steps of : preparing base powder by crushing mixed powder in which first source powder including a rare earth element, second source powder including a metal element, and an additive including calcium are mixed; calcining the base powder to manufacture preliminary magnetic powder which includes calcium monoxide (CaO), which is obtained through pyrolysis of the additive, and reactants of the second source powder; and reducing the preliminary magnetic powder to manufacture magnetic powder having a single-phase compound of the rare earth element and the metal element.
