RARE EARTH MAGNET AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

Provided are a rare earth magnet having excellent coercive force and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention relates to the manufacturing method of the rare earth magnet comprising : a magnetic phase containing Sm, Fe and N; a Zn phase existing around the magnetic phase; the magnetic phase; and an intermediate phase existing between the Zn phases, the intermediate phase containing Zn, the intermediate phase also having an oxygen content higher than an oxygen content of the Zn phase, and mixing a raw material powder having an oxygen content of 1.0 mass% or less with a modifying material powder containing a metal Zn and/or a Zn alloy and then performing heat treatment.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
