FIELD : chemistry.
SUBSTANCE : invention relates to sulfonated, aminomethylated chelate resins, as well as to a method for producing such chelate resins, which are used for the isolation and purification of metals, in particular rare-earth metals, from aqueous solutions and organic liquids, as well as to obtain high-purity silicon. Chelate resins contain functional groups of the following structural element (I), in which means polymer skeleton, R1 and R2 independently mean -CH2COOX, -CH2PO(OX1)2, -CH2PO(OH)OX2, -(CS)NH2, -CH2-pyridyl or hydrogen, both R1 and R2 cannot simultaneously mean hydrogen, X, X1, X2 and Y independently of one another denote hydrogen, sodium or potassium. Method of obtaining the above chelate resins is that first monomeric droplets of at least one monovinylacetate compound and at least one polyvinyl aromatic compound, as well as at least one initiator or combination of initiators, is converted into a beaded polymer. Then the beaded polymer is phthalimidemethylated with phthalimide and sulphated in the presence of oleum. Amount of free SO3 is at least 0.69 moles in terms of 1 mole of phthalimide. Next, phthalimidemethylated, sulfonated polymeric bead is converted to aminomethyl, sulfonated polymeric bead. After that, aminomethylated, sulfonated beaded polymerization is converted into chelate resins containing functional groups of the structural element (I).
.
EFFECT : invention makes it possible to obtain stable chelate resins with strong adsorption to metals.
