PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a trace element analysis method in oxidized rare earths, capable of quantitatively analyzing trace element in oxidized rare earths at a μg/g level.
SOLUTION : A trace element analysis method in oxidized rare earths includes a first step of thermally decomposing oxidized rare earths to obtain a thermal decomposition, a second step of adding reductant and alkali solution to the thermal decomposition to obtain a deposit, a third step of separating supernatant from the deposit and diluting the supernatant to obtain test liquid for analysis, and a fourth step of quantitatively analyzing the test liquid for analysis. It is preferable that acid is added so that pH is equal to or less than 1, and the alkali solution is added so that pH is within a range of 8.0-10.0.
