PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a superconducting coil capable of suppressing quench burning.
SOLUTION : The superconducting coil has a superconducting wire having an oxide superconducting layer. The oxide superconducting layer has a continuing perovskite structure containing rare earth elements, barium (Ba) and copper (Cu), the rare earth elements contain a first element which is praseodymium (Pr), at least one kind of second element of a group of neodymium (Nd), samarium (Sm), europium (Eu) and gadolinium (Gd), at least one kind of third element of a group of yttrium (Y), terbium (Tb), dysprosium (Dy) and holmium (Ho), and at last one kind of fourth element of a group of erbium (Er), thulium (Tm), ytterbium (Yb) and lutetium (Lu).
