FIELD : power engineering.
SUBSTANCE : invention relates to the field of solar photovoltaics, in particular to the creation of devices for the direct conversion of solar energy into electrical energy using sensitized metal oxide solar cells (MOSC). Most successfully, the present invention can be applied to solar power plants for operation under high and low illumination, including under diffuse light conditions. Design of dye-sensitized MOSC includes a photoelectrode in the form of a photo-converting mesoporous nanostructured layer of metal oxide nanoparticles, sensitized by dye adsorbed on them, and a light scattering layer made of metal oxide microparticles. Photo-converting layer is made of metal oxide nanoparticles based on a ternary system of the formula Ti(1-x)MexO2, wherein Me is Nb or a rare earth metal selected from the group : Sm, Yb, Eu, and the value of "x" varies between 0.01 and 0.1.
EFFECT : invention provides an opportunity to increase the efficiency of conversion of solar energy into electrical energy in sensitized solar cells of MOSC type by more than 20 %.
