When producing an Ru-containing corrosion-resistant titanium alloy, a base alloy that has an Ru content of 10-40 mass% and a rare-earth-element content of 2-30 mass%, which is not lower than 1/6 the Ru content, and that has a melting point of 2, 000°C or lower is produced by melting, in order to heighten the pulverizability of the base alloy, and solidified. The solidified base alloy is pulverized. The pulverized base alloy is mixed with sponge titanium, and the mixture is melted in a melting furnace. According to the present invention, in the industrial-scale production of a corrosion-resistant titanium alloy containing Ru, which is the most economical platinum-group element, it is possible to produce a homogenous corrosion-resistant titanium alloy ingot which is reduced in Ru segregation attributable to the high melting point (2, 334°C) of Ru.
