The present invention relates to a method for vitrifying radioactive rare earth waste. According to the present invention, a method for vitrifying radioactive rare earth waste using a glass medium including alumina may be provided to load the radioactive rare earth waste up to 20 wt% and vitrify the loaded radioactive rare earth waste stably, and to produce a high-quality solidified glass body suitable for requirements of a middle-level disposal site. The possibility of occurrence of liquid-liquid phase transition that can occur when radioactive rare earth waste is treated with only a bore-silicated glass system may be fundamentally blocked using a base glass system. In terms of an evaluated liquid temperature and a transition temperature, the solidified glass body does not belong to a high-level waste category since heat is finally generated to be 0.1°C or below on the surface thereof as well as being in a stable state without the possibility of transition of a glass phase to glass ceramics containing a crystal phase during treatment or disposal of the solidified glass body, thus improving receptivity of communities when the solidified glass body is managed on the middle-level disposal site.
