SOLUTION : The thermoelectric material to be provided contains the oxycalcogenide represented by the formula : Ln1-XMXCu1-yNyOCh, where Ln=Y, Bi, or rare earth ion M=Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zr, or Hf, N=Fe, Co, Ni, or other transition metal ion Ch=Se, Te (0≤x≤0.2, 0≤y≤0.2).
