PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a carbon monoxide selective oxidation catalyst composition, in which carbon monoxide is selectively oxidized at a high converting ratio in a low temperature region. SOLUTION : The catalyst oxidizing selectively carbon monoxide at the high converting ratio in the low temperature region contains a rare earth element and Fe. In a part or all of them, a composition having a perovskite type structure is a carrier and a platinum group element is carried.
