PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high (BH)max hybrid rare earth bonded magnet capable of ensuring durability in actual working temperature regions by avoiding cracking or damaging of rare earth magnet powder when anisotropic aggregated polycrystalline Nd2Fe14B based rare earth magnet powder is compressed with high density and compacted, and to provide compression molding equipment in magnetic field.
SOLUTION : The durable anisotropic hybrid rare earth bonded magnet exhibiting (BH)max of 180 kJ/m3 is produced by compacting a compound of magnetically anisotropic aggregated polycrystalline rare earth magnet powder, single domain particle rare earth magnet powder and a binder while suppressing mutual mechanical damage of the aggregated polycrystalline rare earth magnet powder by buffering action of the single domain particle rare earth magnet powder when the compound is compression molded while applying an orienting magnetic field at a temperature lower than the thermosetting point of the binder, and then thermosetting the binder.
