DEODORIZING CATALYTIC BODY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a deodorizing catalytic body which is manufactured by depositing a catalyst on a carrier having communicative pores and is hardly clogged, in which the uneven deposition of the catalyst is made rare and which has excellent deodorizing performance and to provide a method for manufacturing this catalytic body.SOLUTION : This catalytic body is manufactured by immersing the carrier having communicative pores in the catalyst slurry mainly composed of manganese oxide, copper oxide and activated carbon and drying the catalyst-deposited carrier. Steatite is used as the principal material of the carrier. The ratio of the particles having 10-60 μm particle size in the catalyst slurry is made to be ≥50%.
