Luminescent Er(Ⅲ)-Chelated Dendritic Complexes Having Light-Harvesting Effect and Their Synthetic Me

PURPOSE : A novel dendrimer type organic light emitting complex comprising a rare earth metal element is provided to give a light harvesting effect by means of molecular engineering, to improve solubility to a polymer medium, and to prevent coagulation of the rare earth metal element. CONSTITUTION : The dendrimer type organic light emitting complex comprising a rare earth metal element has a structure represented by formula 1, wherein Ln is Er; a is 0, 1 or 2; B is a compound selected from compounds represented by formula 2 or the like. The method for preparing the dendrimer type organic light emitting complex comprises : adding a component selected from KH, B-CO2H, terpyridine or bipyridine into a vacuum dried flask under nitrogen stream; dissolving the mixture with an organic solvent; stirring the mixture till hydrogen gas is not generated therefrom, adding thereto a solution of anhydrous ErCl3 and methanol and stirring it for one day; removing and drying the solvent from the solution in vacuum condition, washing the resulted product with diethylether for several times, and then vacuum drying the resulted compound. © KIPO 2005
